Why aren't all my apps blocked?

IntentLock uses Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls APIs to shield apps. Some system apps — including Safari, Phone, Messages, and Settings — cannot be category-shielded by third-party apps because Apple does not expose them to the Family Controls framework. This is an OS-level limitation, not a bug in IntentLock.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple and can be cancelled in iOS Settings. Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, tap IntentLock, and choose Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Can I use IntentLock without paying?

Yes. IntentLock offers a free tier that includes the core blocking flow so you can set goals each morning before unlocking your phone. Paid plans add extended customisation, multi-profile support, and additional features.

How do I change my awake hours?

Open IntentLock and go to Settings → Awake Hours. Adjust the start and end times — these define the window during which IntentLock prompts you to set goals and shields your apps. Changes take effect on the next awake-hour cycle.

How do I add the home-screen widget?

Long-press an empty area of your home screen until the icons jiggle, tap the + in the top-left corner, search for IntentLock, choose your preferred widget size, and tap Add Widget. The widget shows your current goals and unlock status at a glance.
